Harry was the youngest child of William and Phoebe Moore. They had eleven children, one of whom died. He was born in Chedgrave, Loddon, Norfolk in 1898.

In 1901 and 1911 the family lived in Shotesham Lane in Saxlingham Nethergate. His father was a market gardener.
Harry’s service records have not survived but he enlisted in the Queen’s Regiment, service number 32756. It is not known where he served but he transferred to the Labour Corps, service number 65308.
He returned to Saxlingham Nethergate after the war but again nothing else is known about his life or occupation.
He died in March 1934 in Saxlingham Nethergate.
